Hello Susan,
go in to your folder containing the tracks you ripped.
highlight one of the tracks,
press your application key,
arrow down until you hear "open with"
arrow to the right
arrow down once more until you hear "windows media player" and press enter.

I have just copied a cd on to my computer and every thing is fine, until, I
go in to my music folder to listen to one of the tracks , when I hit enter on
the track I wish to listen to, jaws says nero player window diolog, yes button
to activate press space bar alt plus y, nero player window diolog do you wish
to save your currant play list? yes button, I then have to press enter, jaws
then says play list diolog file name: edit type in text, alt plus n, I then
must type in some thing and hit enter before the music starts, if I don't type
in any thing and hit enter nothing happens.
is this normal? and what does it mean? and just what is it I'm suppose to
type in that edit box?

Hi Susan
It is possible to get album information when using Cdex but, you need
to be connected to the internet while ripping the CD.
You need to make the following change in settings for this to work:
1. When in Cdex, press the f4 key to get into settings.
2. Press ctrl+tab a few times to get to the remote CDDB
3. Write your email address into the edit box.
4. Tab and check the box for auto connect to remote CDDB.
5. Tab to Ok and press enter.
It is a great little program to use.

hi Paul,
some one told me that I need to put a code in , then it will go onto the
internet and find the name of the cd, well it's some thing like that. Joe my
partner uses that program exact audio copier and it must get the names of the
internet because say for instance Joe copies a Michael Jackson cd it will give
him a couple of options on what it is called. I find exact audio copier very
difficult to use. I hope I have all this info correct.

Hi Susan,
What has happened so far for you is normal . CDex by default doesn't
give the album a name or the tracks inside it so what you can do if you know
the name of the album contained with the MP3 folder is go into the "MP3" folder
and press spacebar on the folder in there which is called "No Artist". Then
press the enter key and now you will be on a folder called "No Title". Hit
the spacebar on this and then press the "F2" key. At this point type in a new
name which could be the name of the album itself that you have and press the
enter key. Your folder should now be renamed to the name of the album you just
copied.
Next you could go in the folder you just renamed where the songs are
placed and if you know the names of each of the songs then you could rename
them the same way you renamed the folder they are contained in. I am sure that
either Bert or maybe if Brian Dalton is on this list which I know they are
could possibly give you some other way to achieve this process easier but this
is the way I have done it.
