Wait for 8?

With Apple fans growing increasingly impatient with their ageing
sixth-generation devices, rumours are continuing to swirl about the
company's next flagship handset.

But users could be left disappointed, with latest reports suggesting the
iPhone 7
<http://www.digitalspy.com/tech/apple/feature/a670501/iphone-7-release-date-

minimal changes, and look almost identical to its predecessor.

The device, due this autumn, will apparently only see subtle changes, with
the much-hinted removal of the headphone jack serving as the biggest.

will remain unchanged at 4.7 and 5.5 inches.

So instead of the upcoming phone receiving the standard 48-month overhaul,
it's being claimed by the

instead come in 2017 with the iPhone 8.

This could include rumoured innovations such as a curved OLED screen

the need for a physical home button.

With the phone not set to be announced until September, expect to get a
clearer picture of the company's next phone as the summer goes on and
rumours continue to spin.
