[vip_students] Audio Sound in Outlook Express When New E-Mail Arrives

I have this facility which used to work but has suddenly stopped for no reason.
Then I noticed that my Microsoft Sounds in Word had also stopped. Checked if
I had the check boxes ticked in each case and sure enough they were ticked.
Then I unchecked and tried again. Still no sound. Then I removed and
reinstalled the Microsoft sounds and checked the relevant boxes again. This
time I got my sounds back with Word but still nothing with Microsoft Outlook
Express. Now I know the Microsoft Sounds do not influence Outlook Express but
cannot understand why the sound will not play. Any ideas please/
