Sorry but left out a step in my previous email;
1. Go into "Settings.
2. Go into General.
3. Go into Accessibility.
4. Go into Voice Over.
5. Go into Speech.
6. Double tap on "Voice".
7. Scroll down through the available voices till you come to "Kate" and
double tap to accept.
8. Now double tap on the "Back" button near top left corner of the screen
till you are back in main settings area.
