Thomas,

The radio in the music centre will not become 'useless' for some time yet,
perhaps 20 years or more. FM radios are too widespread for anyone to
seriously think of phasing them out by 2012, the date when digital
television becomes standard terrestrial tv.

hi Paul and all,
Can someone please give me some information about this Dab Radio? I
understand that Rte are going live with some new stations using this format from Monday? I was 40 years old last year and for a present to celebrate my
birthday my family bought me a music centre with a radio? What I want to
know is how long it will be before the radio in the music centre becomes
useless?

many thanks Tom Connole
