1. After logging in to facebook, arrow down the page till you find the link "find friends" or use jaws find, "control + F" and type into the find box, find friends. 2. Once you have entered on the find friends link, you will be given a few choices to find some new people. According to facebook, Searching your email account is the fastest way to find your friends on Facebook. 3. Arrow down to the edit box where you are asked to place in your email address and after filling it in, tab once to the password box. Facebook says it doesn't store any passwords for your security. 4. There is another option to find friends on the same page. If you arrow down to another edit box, it will ask you to insert the name or email address of someone you re searching for. his could be an old classmate, a co-worker or just someone you lost touch with a long time ago. If this suits your needs better than just enter in the person's name or email address and submit it so that Facebook can check its database and return any finds relating to that name or email address. 5. For this example we will attempt to find someone rather than use our own email address. I will type in a name here called Bernard Kelly. 6. After tabbing over to the submit button and entering I wait a few moments. Once my page of results have returned I can now check to see if I have found anyone of that name. Tip: In order to check through your results page quickly or to jump to the first returned result in the page, Go to the top of the results page. Here use keys "control + F" and type in the name or you searched for. Press enter key and then press escape. If the jaws search has landed on a result then just press the "escape key" to leave the search box and be placed directly on the first result. If no results have been found then you will be notified of this. 7. Okay, I have found a number of results of the name I have searched for. Now I have the dilemma of how do I know which Bernard Kelly is the person I am seeking?. 8. I can do this in a couple of ways; *. Generally the name you have searched for will have other contacts associated with him or her. This fact will be given to you if you arrow down below the name of the person searched for in a link called, "X mutual friends". The X being a number of the friends that both you and he or she have in common. This will give you a pretty good clue that this could be the person you are searching for. *. another method you could use is to enter on each link that contains the name of the person you are seeking. This will bring you into their profile page. Here you could arrow through their information in order to determine from their address or other details if they are the people you are searching for. Personally I found this a long winded exercise. 9. Alternatively there are a couple of other ways to determine the correct person you wish to locate. On the results page there are three other edit boxes. *. One for finding the person via their location. *. One for locating through the name of the school he or she went too. *. another for locating them via their workplace. 10. Once you have typed in the information in the correct edit box, tab to the "refine results" button and press spacebar. After a few moments, arrow down the page and see if the results have been reduced to a more manageable figure. With a bit of luck you may find only one result returned and that result is the exact one you want. You may find these are easier than having to go through each name in the results list in order to determine the correct individual you are searching for. Have a go and see how you get on. Keep practicing and it will work out fine. Paul. _____ I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter <http://www.spamfighter.com/len> . We are a community of 7 million users fighting spam.
