Follow Joan Ann's instruct to me and you will wwork it out, perhaps one 
backspace in your case. 

Any specific query of your file stored as to where, give us a shout and one of 
us will surely help come to the rescue, :) . .

  It would be easier if you opened the PDF document while in Kurzweil.

  press control and O to open the file

  Shift tab once to get to the list of folders and backspace twice to get to 
the my documents folder.

  Now tab and you will see a list of files in the my documents folder and 
choose the one that you want to read and press enter.

   

  This should work for you.

  How can I read aPDF document in My Documents using Kurzweil? 

   

  I open up Kurzweil and hit the start menu but Jaws takes over.
