Hi Dominique,
I use both browsers, though predominantly IE (On Windows7). There are many
screen-reader users successfully using IE on Windows10, just like they did on
previous Windows versions. The thing to do may be, to use the other browser on
pages where it works better than your main (or default) one does. Firefox is
not too difficult from, or too different than Internet Explorer. (Some
different terminology here and there, and slightly different keystrokes
perhaps.) At least Firefox is being updated, where Internet Explorer is updated
no more – IE11 is its final version, before we go to the Edge, perhaps close to
the Edge Of Doom?!
And there’s also Google Chrome. It has helped me on a few occasions where
neither IE nor FF could do the job properly, such as on occasion, successfully
filling in an awkward online form.

Subject: [vip_students] Firefox V Internet Explorer?
I’ve always used Internet Explorer as my WebBrowser since I got my first
Computer fourteen years ago now!, and recently am unable to access the RTÉ XL
Player on it using Windows 10 and have been advised to now use Firefox instead
as it is more compatible with screenreaders etc.
I’m very interested to know what others use for their default WebBrowser and
any opinions and feedback of their experience good or badd would be very much
appreciated! I’ve never used any other browser before. So this is all new to
me!
Thank you!
