Hi Dominique,

I really enjoyed listening to your segment on the September Edition of the NCBI
Technology Podcast.

One thing in particular that really caught my attention was the issue you were
having with your contacts app.
While I have not experienced the issue you described in a very clear manner on
the podcast, I do have one suggestion regarding navigating through your contact
list.

You may already be aware of this, but did you know you can navigate through
your contacts by going from heading to heading?
Once you open the contacts section in your phone app, or the actual contacts
app, you can select headings from the VoiceOver rotor, and swipe up and down to
go from letter to letter.

This will enable you to jump from A to B to C and so on, and you can swipe
right at any stage to go through contacts within a certain letter.

I hope the above information helps, and if I can help with anything else just
ask.

Kind regards,

Niall

Dear All,

The September edition of our monthly technology podcast is now available from
our website ( http://www.ncbi.ie/technologypodcast),
our RSS feed (
http://www.ncbi.ie/technologypodcast.xml)
or to download directly at
http://www.ncbi.ie/sites/default/files/podcasts/podcast_september_2015.mp3

This month, we have information on NCBI's DigiPlace4All seminar, which is
taking place on Friday September 18th.
Niall Gallagher is with Stuart to talk about using Microsoft Office products
on iOS, which he has also written about on his blog.
Paul Traynor, NCBI's Chief technical Support Officer is with us to talk about
Windows 10, Microsoft's latest operating system, and points us towards a
really useful blog post written by Darragh Ó Héiligh.
Sharon Lyons is back for another round of shortcuts, this time, we're looking
at email basics.
Dominique Farrell, a long-time listener to our podcast is with Stuart to talk
a little about herself and the technology she uses.
Finally, if you've ever wanted a way to easily identify the photos on your
iPhone, Stuart has a quick tip!

As always, feedback is more than welcome, so please feel free to get in touch
by email to technologypodcast@xxxxxxx

Kind regards,

Stuart
