Subject: [vip_students] Using the new Avast 5 Free, how to register your
copy!

Hi All,

I have been using the new Avast 5 now for a few weeks and it appears
that through some pressure from blind screen reader users it has been
made more accessible. I have checked out many of the features that
interest me in using Avast and am happy to report that they look pretty
good now. Note that you must download the latest Avast from their
website using the following link;

http://download853.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_av_free_eng.exe

After the program has been downloaded and installed on your computer,
you must then register it. For this part of the operation I usually use
a serial number to register my copies as I have always found it the
easiest to do and thats what we will do here. I will include a
registeration number in this tutorial for anyone who feels they want to
download the software and register it for themselves.

Here is the serial number:

C11956286H1200A0412-MKTKKCEV

[Instructions for installing the serial]

1. If you are using jaws the first thing to do after installing
Avast 5 is to bring up the list of system tray icons. Use keys "insert +
F11" to accomplish this.

2. Arrow down to avast and then press tab key once. Here you will
be informed that it is a right click button. Press enter key to
activate and open up the right context menu.

3. Arrow down this list till you come to "registration" and press
enter key.

4. In here you will have to "tab key" four times to the button
where you insert your serial number.

5. Before locating the edit box where you insert the serial, you
will have to tab around a few more times in this dialogue in order to
find the button that again asks you to enter your serial number. Once
you press spacebar on htis final button, an edit box appears and you can
copy and then paste in the number here.

6. After you have inserted the number, tab to the ok button and
press the spacebar to complete.. Press alt + F4 to close up back to the
desktop.

You're done,

Paul.
