Don't know if this is the same thing but imagine it is.
Found TC:

I was listening to a bit of Febbruary's and we were apologised to cause the
Microsoft Document Scanner it appears only works with Office 2003.
You can if you have 2003 installed and if you like using say Office 2010 run
2003 alongside and you are alright it appears.
I guess that the tutorial is on the January edition.
I'll go look for it now.

just want to thank you all for your help.
thanks to you I have managed to successfully use the Microsoft office
document scanner, I find it scans a document much better than k1000, I
followed the instructions on the podcast on office o c r, by talking
computers.
I am now able to scan my bank statements and print them out,
once again many thanks
