[Creating Playlists In ITunes]

A playlist is a collection of your favourite songs gathered together under
one single name called anything you like. For

example I could have a collection of songs that I like to listen to
collected together under the name of "TestList" and here we are going to
look at first creating our proposed playlist and then add some songs to it.

1. First off, open up ITunes from your desktop and just check to make sure
that your ITunes software is up-to-date. To do this, go into the "Help Menu"
of ITunes, "alt + h" and then down arrow to "Check for updates". Press enter
here and if an update is available then allow it to come in and update your
existing ITunes software.
2. After the update has completed if there was one we will now make sure
that we have our ITunes populated with music either a collection of general
music of different types and or a collection of albums from which we can use
to choose our tracks from.

3. If you tab around the ITunes interface you will come to a series of
"Radio Buttons" which are as follows;
*. Text list viewer Radio button unchecked.
*. Album list viewer, Radio button unchecked.
*. Grid Viewer, radio button unchecked.
*. Cover Flow Viewer Radio button unchecked.

Notes: The various views above give you a list of your songs, tracks and
albums in different layouts. I tend to prefer just using the "Text viewer or
album viewer radio buttons" so if you like your songs displayed in a long
list of "Artist and titles" then use text viewer. If on the other hand you
prefer listed out in Albums then choose the album viewer radio button.
To check any of the above radio buttons, use the "Spacebar".
For the remainder of the tutorial we will use "Text Viewer Radio Button".

4. To begin creating the playlist from anywhere within the ITunes main
window, press keys, "Control + N". Up on the screen will pop up (untitled
playlist).
5. Here you have the opportunity to give your playlist a meaningful name,
for this example we will call it Testlist, so just type in the name testlist
and when ready press the "Enter key" to complete.
Notes: Now you have a new playlist created and you are placed on the name
Testlist in the "Playlists Section" of the ITunes main window"
In this section of Playlists you can arrow through any of your previously
created playlists and choose to listen to them.
Also you can delete any of the playlists by arrowing to it and pressing the
delete key on your keyboard.
6. Now to add some tracks to our test playlist, first we need to return to
the "Music Section" of the ITunes main window".
Press the "Letter M" and you'll be jumped back up onto the Movies section of
the ITunes window then up arrow once and you'll be on "Music" once more
which is where our tracks are located that we need to populate the playlist.
7. Press the tab key once to jump onto a list of your music tracks.
8. As you arrow down through the audio tracks and when you arrive at a song
you wish to place into the new playlist you created earlier, press the
application key on it, "Third key" out from right of spacebar usually
otherwise use keys, "Shift + F10".
9. From the resulting menu that opens up, arrow down to "Add To Playlist sub
menu" and right arrow in here. Once in here you will find your new playlist
and press "Enter key" on it. Now this song will be added into your new
playlist. Repeat the above steps to add more songs into the playlist until
you have all the tracks you want added into that particular playlist and
you're done.

To use  your playlists do the following;

1. After you open up ITunes, press the "Down Arrow" till you come to
playlists section.
2. Press the "Down Arrow" again till you come to the playlist you want to
listen too.
3. Tab key once and you'll be on a list of songs or other material within
the highlighted playlist then just press the "Enter key" to begin playing.
