Hi all, I am just getting to grips with my new Iaudio mp3 player, so I am no expert with it yet. However, I have sussed some of the problems with it. Firstly, the manual for the Iaudio itself is only of limited use because as soon as we overwrite the original operating system in it with Rockbox the operating menues all change. I have met someone with a unit purchased in Dublin around Christmas last and this unit has therefore an old version of Rockbox and didn't even have Base and treble control under sound settings! Therefore, it is very important to have the "current build" from the www.rockbox.org web site. Secondly, you should now be using the Rockbox manual for the build of rockbox you are using. I am trying to clean up the manual for the 24/04/2007 build that I have on mine. This file comes down in pdf format and it will not easily convert to txt format. I now have it in txt but a lot of scanning errors and dropped spaces with whole sentences without a space between words. Any suggestions? Other than that, I am having great fun with it and I have it speaking all that I want. Just note that Rockbox running in your Iaudio will not play .wma formatted tracks unlike the original system in the Iaudio. So be sure all tracks put on to it are in mp3 format. This can be puzzling until you realise that Rockbox is a total replacement for the original system put on your Iaudio in the factory. Rockbox is still in development so keep checking for updates. When I have the manual cleaned up I will put it up on the list as an attachment. Regards to all, Aedan O'Meara.
