Hi All
When I got my iPad Mini and iPod Touch I was in the UK, therefore registered
with the iStore from the UK. This involved my address and credit card details.
Then I wanted the TV3 player but found I could not download being told that it
was not available in the UK Store. When I went to the Ireland iStore of course
I was told I could not download as I did not have an account in that store.
People on list were helpful and suggested to me that perhaps I should purchase
tokens when in Ireland and this way I could make my purchase. As not in
Ireland until May I decided to ask a friend to get me a gift voucher in Ireland
and to peel off the cover where it gives the code. She sent me the code. This
morning I was able to set up my account in the Ireland iStore and make my Free
purchase. Crazy stuff, in order to make a Free purchase I had to have money on
an account so to speak! This all worked well and the app was downloaded
successfully. Where I ran in to difficulties was with my address in Ireland,
the iStore would not accept Dublin 15 as a Post-Code. Eventually the Apple
Store here in London solved the problem for me, making enquiries of his
colleagues, apparently instead of putting in Dublin 15 we just had to insert
the number 1. I am intreagued by this and just interested to know from those
of you with iStore accounts in Ireland how you overcame this problem of
PostCodes.

Eleanor
