Hi Bert,

Did exactly the steps as directed and it looks like that I don't do it that way in XP as I have explored the open list (and so on) thoroughly.

I do see the option though to play in WMP Winamp and so on.

Hello Tony,

high light one of the tracks you are trying to play.
press your application key and arrow down until you hear the prompt "open with" then press enter. arrow down until you hear choose program. arrow down once again and select windows media player or real player.

tab until you hear "always select this program" hit spacebar to make sure it is checked.

finally tab to OK and press enter.

Bert

Hi Paul and All,

I installed the 3 mentioned in the subject bar for a different reason!

Now when I hit enter on a link for a web radio podcast I get a "clack" Sound which is still the case after those recent installs.

I was hoping they would fix that problem for me.

I also when in the my documents folder when I hit enter on a song for example I get a freeze.

However if I hit the apps key and hit on open then everything is fine.

Any solution as to how I can just hit enter on a link again and it will open as it did before I upgraded to IE 8; not a major problem for me but it would be nice to have sorted if possible.

Best, Tony

Hi Gary,

Try the below link and see if it works okay, I think it is the flash that
may require updating and also update other runtime modules such as
Silverlite, java and adobe Aer while you're at it.

Here is the link to the accessible Youtube;

Dear Gary,

I don't use Facebook and I have JAWS 11, but I never had a problem
searching on YouTube. When you say "close the program" do you mean
the browser or JAWS? Have you tried maximizing the browser window?
Shouldn't make any difference, but sometimes it does. Also of
possible help is an article I posted a while back on how to kill
unresponsive processes using the taskkill program,

hth,
John
