Hi Damian,

Maybe you need to run a repair of jaws as whenever I press the control key
it immediately stops speech.
Below is a set of instructions for running a repair of jaws so maybe you can
try it.

In order to repair an existing jaws installation do the following;

First ensure that all windows updates including drivers especially video
drivers have been installed.

Now use the below instructions to complete the jaws repair.
Notes: Make sure that you use "Full Administrator rights" doing the
following.
Also below I have mentioned "JAWS15" but you should download whichever
version of JAWS you are running.
1. Download a JAWS 15 package from the FS site.
Notes: remember to download it onto the hard drive of the problem computer;
Make sure you download the correct version for your computer, either 32 or
64 bit.

2. When it is downloaded, rename it to something like "J15" excluding the
quotes.
Notes: When you are on the jaws file you downloaded, press the "F2" key and
then give it a new shorter name such as J15 followed by enter key.
3. Now put the renamed jaws file say for example out on your main C drive.
4. Open the start menu and go to "Run" then type in the following exactly;

C:\J15 /type repair
Notes: Where C:\ is the location of the J15 file, change this path to
wherever the J15 file is located.

5. Now jaws will run a repair of your jaws installation and I have found
that usually this fixes this problem, hope it helps you.
Notes: The repair process can take a bit of time so give it plenty of
opportunity to do the job and it may also request a reboot after it has
completed which you should also do.

Paul
