As a Mac user you may be able to assist here. I have to press capital letter number 2 in order to get the * sign, On the Mac is there a way of changing this so that the * sign is in the same position as using a Windows keyboard?

Hi Eleanor
I am going to assume your using a laptop, hope you are.
On the bottom left row, keys from left to right are, function,
control, option, command, and then your space bar.
To get a number sign, like for a hashtag or something, you must hold
down the option key, while at the same time pressing the number 3.
