I agree with you Dominique in respect of VO being more responsive and the
announcement of a capital letter, but I am not yet convinced about the
additional battery life yet. I did go on to preserving battery last night but
this did not reverse itself until I had charged up to 83%. In the app switcher
again when announcing the particular app, VO says active but I am not sure how
necessary that is as open apps have always been considered by myself to be
active. A few changes I have noted thus far is that the very irritating
information about recent contacts when having closed the active apps has
disappeared. I never saw the importance of it and now iobviously Apple does
not either!!! Searching for a particular e-mail in my G mail All mail has
changed. It takes a little getting used to so I guess here it is simply a
matter of accepting change. Before the particular e-mails would show up but
now it would appear to be searching by subject and I found it a little more
cumbersome bringing up the particular e-mail I wanted to forward to someone,
accidentally hitting on another so the process took me longer and I had to take
greater care. When it comes to saving an e-mail attachment again I wonder if
the new process is more a visual one where larger icons come up when providing
the options as to where to save. I like this also as I am just presented to
relevant options for saving rather than options to save in every single app
across the system. For those of you using the newly updated Skype app, I
wonder how you find it. I find it a bit clunky but again I think that is
because I am using vision also and sometimes just hit the wrong part of the
screen within a fraction out which then means I have to repeat my desired
action. I am not a great Seri fan (excuse spelling) but note there are a lot
more options for Serie voices. All well and good but not for myself as I have
a GB16 5s and not enough room to download them. There is also a new look to the
Notes folder. It's OK, guess a change is fine but this time there is at least
an option to create folders so easier and more effecient when looking for a
particular note rather than going through all of them individually. Apparently
there was a lot of hipe about a news app but this has not appeared in the UK
release. However if people set their region to US then the app is there.
However, again a pointless exercise where I am concerned as I have RTE News and
BBC News Now both of which I find excellent, particularly the news alerts.
Referring to your last comment Dominique about upgrading your software, I
certainly have fheard it said, though I cannot quote a source, that iOS 9 will
be the last possible iOS for the 4s.

Subject: [vip_students] Low battery setting on iPhone

I installed iOS9 last night and find it so much faster etc now.

It's quicker to come on when the phone's turned on, and it announces caps
when you capitalise a letter in a text message or e-mail.

I like the new wallpaper too.

I turned on, "LOW BATTERY" and note that the screen locks after fifteen
seconds instead of one minute previously. Should I leave this setting on all
the time now to conserve battery?

I also reset my Home screen to it's factory default settings and it put the
two new apps, "FIND MY iPHONE & FIND MY FRIENDS" into the "Extras Folder app".

Since getting my iPhone 4S last Christmas, I've installed all the iOS
versions from that time until the present. After this version, I know I can't
upgrade anymore, so will this have any affect on my phone's usage etc?

Thank you!
