Garth,
HumanWare is a pretty big company in the blindness & low vision fields at this
stage, I would imagine, almost as big as FS. They have a finger in mamy
different pies, so to speak. In my experience, their Customer Service for the
UK and here is good.
An advantage of these specialised recording/playing devices is that they have
their own keypads, and are made to function independently for the blind and low
vision customer base.
Enjoy the learning as you go.
Flor.

Hello Flo et al,
I have just received the latest ‘manual’ from the ‘Human Ware’ Customer Service.
Again, it is a huge uphill learning curve with many a command that is quite
different to the ‘IPad’ and the ‘Iphone’?
Nevertheless we owe it to this ‘vendor’ to support his original effort.
All the best,
Garth

Garth,
The battery is fully charged in 4 hours. (The VR Stream plays 15 hours in
‘normal’ usage.)

Guys,
I am so grateful I can contact you all by the ‘list’.
I need your help and your technical skill in a hurry.
I have just purchased the latest ‘Victor Stream MP3 reader’ from the ‘NCBI’.
However, precious data and instructions came with the product.
The ‘Humanware’ site is a mess for anyone using a ‘screen reader’.
Do any of you know how to drive this beast from start up to the very intricate
performances
Like finding an ‘Internet radio’?
For instance,
How long must the battery be charged?
Many thanks in anticipation,
Garth Long
