Right thanks Tony. I don't actually know Jenny at all, apart from the list.

Again like yourself, wish Paul well. Can't wait for him to return.

  Eleanor,

Could be wrong but I think it's our "old" friend Jenny from Mary's!

I may have sounded tough the weekend about her situation but that's sometimes
the way it is!

A new computer but certainly save all that important info for sure!

I did have assist from NCBI in the past and when they decided that I was a
bit advanced was a little peeved but not with the foundation I received then I
seemed to learn a lot more on my own with lists, help files and the like.

Computer landd is so vast with new products, software and the like but we can
usually get over that
    provided that, accessibility-wise!

We try to do too much (me anyway) in computers at times!

Now for newbies, computers are great so when things go wrong well just
think of the benefits when you get over that!

Well done to Joe on Audioview of wishing Paul well.

Get out of hospital and come back to us whenever you are well and ready!

Francis is keeping watch and fair play to him.

    Thanks,

    Tony Sweeney

Oh right now Tony, I had misunderstood then. You are fairly right in that
I have a little working knowledge of IT. What I had in mind was for example
when Jean or Jane O'Brien, (sorry I have forgotten your first name. This is
not deliberate). the problem say with the computer and if it was something I
could not do myself in relation to the PC, that someone might assist, a
volunteer. Another example is I am trying to teach myself how to use this
video capture and have had difficulties. If I cannot sort that I will ask for
an RNIB volunteer to call around. Finally another example is where I bought a
new netbook and I required someone sighted to go through the initial set-up
where I did not have any speech, it was just out of the shop and had to run
through this automatic set-up. Maybe some visually impaired people can do this
without sighted assistance but not me *smile*.

      Hi Eleanor,

      A compliment to you!

I think that that servvice is really for beginners and all that assisting
folk to get up and running!

I'm sure they will assist as far as possible with problems along the way
too!

You are quite computer-literate gathering from lists that we both are on
learning and you giving great advice!

Now with the cut-backs priority has to be a consideration for the IT
trainers I'm sure!

With respect I reckon you could teach them a thing or two.

There would be a waiting list so don't expect a "meet and greet situation
at the airport " when you visit again if you get my drift!

Keep on truckin as you are, you are doing fine in my opinion!

      Best.

      Tony Sweeney

to avail of this service while in Ireland, please can you tell me who
to
        contact?
        Many thanks
