Hello Eleanor,
Follow Tom's suggestion and this should fix your problem. The talks key
followed by the number 1 will toggle between saying nothing at all, saying
just characters, saying characters and words or saying just words.
Experiment with this and see what works for you.
Finally, Is it the Nokia 3650 you have and not the 3250? The 3250 is not a
talks phone.

Regarding the Nokia 3250 mobile I am still learning about it, but this
might be a simple thing to resolve although it would help alot if sorted.
My question is with my texting of messages the keys are not relaying back
the letters, words and numbers.
