Windows8 is still only in beta. it has not yet been officially released. and the main screen-readers do not support it yet.

Forgive my ignorance but is Microsoft moving on from Windows 7? In that event can we upgrade from Windows 7?

Hi all,
I came on this on the Access-uk list:
Some of you might be interested in a preview of Narrator in Windows 8 due
out some time later. The link to this demo is

8-developer-preview-accessibility/

The quality of the voice is excellent and functionality is greatly improved.
As someone on the access-uk list commented: i wonder how long it will be
before the commercial screen reader providers will take to object to this!

Kind regards
Aedan.
