Hi Ger, I just read your problems that you are having with the net and email. First of all can you tell us was your computer used by anyone else in the house for going onto the internet?. It sounds firstly to me that you may have spyware or a virus on yor machine. Other things that come to mind is that sometimes services like "call waiting, or call answering" can also affect your connection. Another thing to check is that the phone cable coming from the back of your computer is not lying over power cables extending from the back of the computer as this will greatly cause problems with phone signal on the line. Another thing to look at is possible noise on your phone line. What I mean is that if you pick up your phone sometime and while talking to another person on it you hear slight staic sounds on it then that is a dirty line and will certainly affect your modem signal. Please have a look into what I have described above as possible causes for your problems and report back to the list. Paul. -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ger Delaney Sent: 08 February 2006 17:46 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] suspention Tell us about Wayfinder!
