Garry,
I think Dominique may have answered this already. Anyway, here is a step by
step instruction that achieves her suggestion:
A number of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners have recently reported that their
device’s screen becomes too dim suddenly. Hence, the unexpected inconvenience
becomes a big roadblock in letting them use their device properly.
So, how to resolve this issue? Well, this bug can be fixed with ease; it
wouldn’t require much time as well in sorting it out. Here is how you can put
an end to it. Let’s have a quick look!
Dim Screen on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus How to Fix Dim Screen of Your
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Solution #1 Launch Settings app → Tap on Display &
Brightness.
Display & Brightness Settings on iPhone If Auto –Brightness is ‘On’
then turn the toggle “Off.”
Turn Off Auto-Brightness on iPhone
Now, give your device a hard reset. Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at once
to switch off your device. After a few moments, restart your device in the
same way as if you had powered it off.
How to Restart-Reboot iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Once the device restarts:
Launch Settings app again → Tap on General.
Tap on Settings Then General on iPhone Tap on Accessibility then
Increse Contrast on iPhone Turn on Reduce Transparency.
Turn Off Reduce White Point in iPhone

hi all.
I have updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 10.2.1 and have found that the
background light is very faint. I have gone into display and
brightness which is 100%, is there anything else that I could try to
brighten my screen even though I use VoiceOver
