What is your problem Noreen, it may be that when you are using the Index and so go to K that a few contacts with the name beginning with J may read out. Hopefully this will get sorted.

Hi Eleanor,
Well done reporting to Apple. Since updating last night contacts are not
working properly, so wondering were they on your list? I remember somebody
else on list having a difficulty with contacts also & if already reported
there is no point in repeating process. I saw another mail on list with a
similar problem last week cannot remember only it was about contacts after
updating. Noreen M.

Subject: [vip_students] Response from Apple re my report of IOS9 bugs - they
reallyreally want our help!

Just an e-mail to let you know I've had a response from Apple following the

e-mail I sent them reporting the IOS9 bugs. They say that they really want
all our help, and have asked that every time any of us experience any form
of an IOS9 accessibility bug, however mild we think it is, to report it by
e-mailing them at accessibility@xxxxxxxxx. I paste below the text of what
they said, bbut the bottom line from them is please please all get reporting

every time something occurs. >

See text below.

Hello,

Thank you for your email. We appreciate the feedback.

We would like to gather as much information about all the bugs you describe

as possible, and would ask you to encourage all your contacts to report any
accessibility bugs they experience using IOS9 to us every time they occurr.
They can do so by e-mailing accessibility@xxxxxxxxx. Please ensure that each

time you/they submit a report you tell us exactly what you were trying to do

at the time the bug occurred.

Firstly, in terms of the various audio bugs you listed, we would like to get

stackshots to find out more about these behaviors. Therefore, every time you

or any of your contacts experience any form of audio bug please do the
following:
Press the home button and either of the volume buttons simultaneously.
Let up on the buttons wait a little bit (a 10 count should be fine) then do
it again.

Connect your iPhone to a computer and sync it.
The logs and stackshots will transfer to the computer during the sync.

For Mac OS X systems:
Connect your iPhone and sync it in iTunes.
In the Finder press command+Shift+G and navigate to
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
If you have multiple iOS devices select the appropriate device to get the
logs from.
Compress the folder and send it to us.
For Windows system:
Connect your iPhone and sync it in iTunes.
Windows XP: the crash logs are in C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application

Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\
Windows Vista & Windows 7: the crash logs are in
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Apple
computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\device name

Secondly, regarding the bugs you are expeeriencing using bluetooth
keyboards, please can you and all your contacts report every instance of a
problem occurring to us as soon as it has happened. Please ensure you tell
us what you were trying to do with the keyboard when the problem occurred,
if/how you tried to fix it, and whether or not your attempts to do so were
successful. We do appreciate that the use of bluetooth keybooards is very
important for you, which is why we would like as accurate a picture as
possible through as many reports of what is going on so that we can work on
fixing the problems.

Finally, regarding what you described about returning to the previous
position of VoiceOver focus, please also report this to the developers of
the apps which you were using when you experienced this behavior. Apple
relies on each application developer to properly implement the necessary
components into their applications that allow VoiceOver to work correctly.
Customer feedback directly to the developer helps them to improve
performance and compatibility.

Sincerely,

Apple Accessibility
