Dear Paul,

  Yeah, I know about pressing F8.  But I can't read the screen so I
wouldn't know which option to select.  And even if I did manage to
start Windows in Safe Mode, I wouldn't have any sound.  So, is there a
workaround?  What do YOU do if you have to use Safe Mode or upgrade
your BIOS?
