I am not a Jaws user but I can use Team Viewer with a sighted person who also has it so I can get on Skype to my Techy friend in Finland and give him my Team Viewer details. What is good is that I can have Supernova running and hear everything he is doing. Team Viewer is free. -----Original message----- From: tony sweeney Sent: 28/02/2013, 9:10 am To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] Re: Serateck Remote Access Morning, Think I remember something about Jaws Tandem and also some facility in windows but can't remember the references but think that Tandem was discussed on Stuart's tech podcast or a forerunner, might be worth following up and it's not as dear as Seratech anyway. An IT trainer here in Ireland oh about two years ago fixed a problem for me using one of those facilities, took over my computer remotely from miles away, with my permission i hasten to add! It may be different for organisation, but (according to Serotek's latest advert): What's the cost? The Remote Incident Manager normally sells for $99 per month or $999 per year, with a $199 setup fee. Now through March 30, you can purchase this incredible remote access tool with a setup fee of $99, and a cost of only $599 per year, or $59.95 per month. This is nearly half the normal cost of the product. You must own System Access in order to use the Remote Incident Manager. Don't yet have System Access? Purchase it outright, or sign up for the Accessibility Anywhere package, including System Access, DocuScan Plus for PC and Mac, and SAMNet, our renowned internet community which can be accessed from your PC or through our iBlink Radio app on your iDevice. ----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor Burke To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2013 3:10 PM Subject: [vip_students] Serateck Remote Access Hi Paul and All I have come to know of a few blind people in the UK using the above to assist with IT problems and am wondering if Paul in particular has tried this method of remote access with accessability out. Wonder if NCBI would support such a project Paul. I understand the software is very expensive to use at around five hundred pounds sterling per month, Ouch!!! Eleanor
