I incline to agree with your observation, Eleanor, much preferring the devil in the detail than rather bald headings. Same applies to the accessible YouTube, there's more info about items on the main site instead of 10 headings often being repeated on the next set of results.

That's not tosay other won't benefit from both, some of us are creatures of habit and stick to what we know best.

John L

This search engine is OK for me but it does not give me as much information as the standard Google one. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Niall Fitzpatrick" <nfitzrick@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Paul,
Tried out this search engine and found it to work very well. It certainly seems to have less rubbish to work my way through to find what I want. Saved it as a icon on my desktop until I try it out a bit more and I can make it
my home search engine.

Hope all is well with you.

Regards,

Niall Fitzpatrick

Hi All,

Saw the below on another list and am passing it along as it might be useful
to some of you.
-----Original Message-----

(start page, one word startpage) Startpage is a very Jaws friendly search
provider.

Just type startpage.com into your browser and hit enter.

when the page loads, go to the edit box and type in your search inquiry and
press enter.

Now just press h for heading to check out the results.

this is a private Google search which strips out all the junk.

works very nice with jaws.

Let me know what you think.

I saw this in the latest PC world.

this uses the Google search engine without all the junk, and it blocks
Google from tracking your IP address...

Paul.
