Hi Aedan,
Go into view menu and make sure that the following items are
checked/unchecked;
*. Navigation pane, normal checked.
*. Reading pane, Off checked.
*. ToDo Bar, Off Checked.
*. Toolbars, Standard bar checked only.

Hi Paul,
I never that setting was there. I assumed that the setting in the options
area was all that one could change.
Many thanks and it works in old emails as well!
Now another problem. Barbara is sharing my laptop out here and as you know,
no female should be let at a computer!
Ouch! Ducking!
Now I have the dreaded Wonderbar coming up instead of the list of boxes and
the computer locks!
I have searched for this nuisance but cannot find where to turn it off. My
sticking plaster answer at the moment is to go to mail under "go" and this
at least puts back the tree view in that tab position.
Help needed Guru.
Finally, I have changed my email permanently to gmail to make replying
easier. I have notified Loretta.

Hi Aedan,
Why not change your email preferences to receive "plain Text only" mails.
Try the following but note I don't know if it will automatically affect any
mails you already have gotten in but will for future ones.
1. While in your inbox go into the tools menu and arrow down to the "Trust
Center" and press enter key.
2. In here go to Email security" which if my memory serves me right you will
have to pick out of a list of options using the arrow keys.
3. There are two choices in here you need to check, "Read all standard mail
in plain text" and "Read all digitally signed mail in plain text". Both
these have checkboxes so use spacebar to check them.
4. Go to the OK button and press spacebar and OK again if necessary.
