Ahoy Roslyn
The talking caller id is about the size of a cigarette packet & is powered by
three triple A batteries.
It has two phone ports one of which your phone lead is plugged into & into the
other is a lead which connects into the base of your phone.
When you are receiving a phone call, it speaks the incoming number. There are
two little buttons on it, one for the volume & the other when pressed speaks
the numbers of previous incoming calls.

I'm also with vodafone, I got a letter months ago telling me within a
certain date my landline would be going threw my broadband and i requested
for mine to remain the same. I still have my talking caller ID working. I
hope they don't change this as my landline is in one room and modem is in
another. Have you tried all the slots on the modem.
I hope you can get it sorted.

Sometimes you can get a splitter to convert the signal but you'd really
need to ask Vodafone about this one to be sure.

Just to mention a friend's experience with this. When he switched over,
he lost his no caller ID and his voice mail. After being in touch with
Vodafone on quite a few occasions, he switched back to the old system and
recovered the no caller ID but not the Voicemail. That's about all I
know.

Ahoy All
I am using Vodafone for my land line, mobile, broadband internet etc.
Recently, they switched my land line to "Broadband voice".
Since then, my talking caller id does not work, either connected to the
phone base or the modem.
Any advice here would be very much appreciated.
