  Hello Rodney,

You aare welcome to the list and I think this might be your first query. Keep
them coming of course and if you have any tips or discoveries then pass them on
if you like.

Now on to your audio problem and moving it to the computer. I suggest the
first thing you need to do is download a little program called "CDex1.07" from
the web. I have pasted in the direct download below and by direct download I
mean that when you paste it into your internet browser and hit the enter key
the file should begin to download shortly afterwards. It may ask you if you
wish to "save or run it". Tab to the run button and press the enter key and
after it has finished downloading itself to your computer it will begin to
install, asking you a few simple questions which you will just mostly answer
"next" too.

Now after this program has been installed you need to place in the CD drive
of your computer the audio CD you wish to copy tracks from.

Tip: In order to stop the CD auto loading after you insert it into the CD
drive, just press and hold down the "shift key" for about 20 seconds after you
close the door of the CD drive.

Next, follow the below instructions to copy tracks from your CD to the
computer.

Step 1. Go into the programs menu and arrow down to CDex 1.7 then right arrow
and press the enter key on the icon called "CDEX.

Step 2. Wait for a few moments and CDex will open up and will have a list of
all the tracks which are contained on your CD.

Step 3. You can select all of the tracks by pressing keys "control + letter
A", or you can select some of the tracks using the "control key held down and
down arrowing through the list, hitting the spacebar on any track you wish to
have copied.
Note: It is important to hold down the "control key" while you are doing this
process.

Step 4. After you have selected all or some of the tracks and you want to
begin the copy process, just press "F9" and CDex will begin copying the tracks
into a folder on your computer. The location of the files will be in the
following folder;

  My documents/my music/MP3/No artist/No title.

Here you will find the songs you copied which will now be in "MP3 format".
This makes them easier to carry around on say a pen drive or MP3 player.

  Hope this helps.

  Paul.
