[vip_students] Transferring items back and forth from IDevices to Computer!

To transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer:

1.Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer with the USB
cable.

2. Now open up ITunes on your computer and if you haven't done so before, be
sure to enable the "Sidebar" which is in the "View menu" of ITunes.
Notes: The sidebar in ITunes displays items such as a Podcasts section,
Music setion, Radio and TV sections and Devices section. Using arrow keys up
or down will navigate you through this sidebar.

3.In iTunes, go to the "Sidebar" using the F6 key and down arrow through its
contents till you come to "Devices", then right arrow in here once and down
arrow once till you are on your particular device such as an IPad or IPhone.

4. Press the "Tab key" till you come to a list of Apps currently installed
on your IDevice and then arrow down through them till you come to the App
you wish to transfer a file from. When you come to it press the "Spacebar"
once to highlight it. 
Notes: This app list is beneath a heading called "File sharing" which is
appropriate for what we are trying to accomplish here.

5.After having selected the appropriate app on the left, press the "Tab key"
once to get to the list on the right which contains files that are connected
to this app. 

6. From the list on the right, using arrow keys, select the file you want to
transfer, and then "Tab key" to "Save to."

7.In the window that appears, select the destination folder  where you want
to save the file, and click Choose just as you would do when saving files on
your computer.
Notes:The file is saved to the selected destination on your computer.


To transfer files from your computer to your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad:

1.Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer using the USB
cable it came with.

2.In iTunes, go to the ITunes sidebar and using arrow keys, select your
device (below Devices), and then "Tab key" over to the Apps button with the
"Spacebar".

3.Now press the "Tab key" till you come to the list of available apps on
your IDevice Below File Sharing, select an app by using the arrow keys and
highlighting it with the "Spacebar"  from the list, and then tab to and
click Add with the "Spacebar".

4.In the window that appears, select a file to transfer, and click Choose.
Notes: The file could be a book you previously downloaded onto your computer
from a web site and you want to play it with a book reading app on the
IDevice.
The file is transferred to your device, and can be opened in the app you
selected in step 3.
