Hi Tony,
I think the only way you could do this would be to turn off the Thunderbird
new mail notification icon.
1. Go into the tools menu.
2. Go to Options.
3. Select "General".
4. Tab over to "New mail notification" checkbox and uncheck it.
Now send yourself a test email with an attachment and see if it works.

Wonder if it's possible to turn off 'attachment Notification in Thunderbird.
Basically when I copy something in to an outgoing email I get that
notification that the email client has found an attachment.
