Hi Mairead, We use Sage here in NCBI, or should I say, our accounts department use it. The version we use, Sage Line 100, runs in windows but through a Dos shell, thus making it more or less unusable with screen readers. I had heard that Line 50 was far better, but I do know that Sage have had on-going accessibility problems with other software they have produced in the past, such as ACT, which is a CRM (Customer Management and Relationship) application. Have you looked on line to see if anyone has created Jaws scripts for this product? Regards, Stuart. -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mairead O Mahony Sent: 22 January 2008 23:49 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] Useing Sage verion 11 with jaws Hi all I am just wondering if anyone has ever used Sage line 50 with jaws 7 before? I have just started to use it as part of my college course and jaws doesn't seem to be able read some of the screens very well. For instance today when I was creating customers when I got to where you type in the fax number jaws was calling the heading company. When I had all the details inputted I couldn't figure out how to get to the credit control option. When I was creating suppliers jaws wasn't entering on record new supplier so I had to get someone to use the mouse. When I got to where you input the supplier details jaws was just reading out options e.g. close, delete, print but not the headings where you put the details. I would appreciate it if anyone has any information on using sage with jaws as I will have an exam on this in a few weeks.
