[vip_students] What is Thunderbird?

Hi All,
Recently on this list a program was mentioned called Thunderbird. I just
want to let those of you who don't know what Thunderbird is what it is and
how good it might be.
Thunderbird is an email program which can be downloaded free of charge from
the internet. It can be installed on your computer and if used in
conjunction with jaws6.1, 6.2 and jaws 7.0 also that it is properly
configured can be quite a useful email program for reducing email spam and
viruses. As Roisin mentioned in a recent email to the list it is a bit
problematic to use with certainly earlier versions of jaws but has improved
a little I feel over the recent past with newer versions of jaws.
This could be a replacement for say "outlook express".

Hi Tom,
There is no real solution to what you are experiencing with spam mails. Just
remember not to respond to any of the mails or you are just advertising the
fact that you are out there and receiving their junk. Better to just try and
ignore it but I doubt the problemw ill ever go away to quickly however. Just
delete is all I can suggest.

Hi listers,
I have a huge problem with a lot of spam e-mail blocking up the Eircom
server. This means that I am getting very few e-mails. Can anybody tell me
how I could solve this problem once and for all while keeping my current
e-mail address? I have been told that this spam will delete itself after a
while, that people who are sending me the spam now will eventually get tired
of it? is this true.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me as this problem is beginning to get
on my nerves.
