Microsoft may have found early success with Windows 10, but it doesn't look
like the firm is resting on its laurels where post-launch support is concerned.

According to rumours site WinBeta, the operating system will receive a "major
update" in November, ushering in a range of new features.

The revamp will reportedly include extensions for the Edge browser, performance
enhancements, and a new universal Messaging app for desktop users.

Edge is expected to gain support for the WebM open source HTML5 standard
through the update, as Microsoft has been working on this for a while.

Windows 10 has found its way to 75 million devices since it began its rollout
to PCs in late July and now accounts for around 5% of all desktop traffic.

In the works as Threshold 2, the November update has been in the hands of
Windows ¬Insiders since mid-August.
