Do you have Abbyy software installed? (Like Abbyy FineReader?) If so, then
there may be a conflict between it and Word 2016 and you may have to
uninstall it. (I did a Google search. For example, you could visit:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_365hp-word/office-365-word-keeps-crashing/c11d9d2b-efea-4425-b708-b16216c6dc4a?auth=1
- and if that URL splits between two lines, then copy and re-paste it.)
It's unlikely to be caused by a Windows OS thing.

Hi all,
I'm using WIndows 8.1, and Word 2016.
IN the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that I'll be in the middle
of editing a document, whne word will just stop responding, causing my
whole system to freeze. THe only way to get it to work is to turn it
off and turn it back on - which means that I usually lose a bit of
what I've been working on.
It's driving me crazy, so any help would be great!
