Printing and Previewing a Document and Exiting Word

Introduction:
If you've been following the previous lessons in this book and aren't
skipping ahead, you should know how to create, edit, and save a document. In
this lesson, we're going to cover a lot of topics-previewing and a document,
and
exiting the Microsoft Word program-so get ready!

Once you have created a document, you can create a printed copy of it (if
your computer is connected to a printer). Before you print a document,
however, it's usually a good idea to view it onscreen. You can preview a
document by using
Word's Print Preview feature.

Note:Print Preview is not accessible to jaws or any other screen reader so
the majority of this lesson is confined to those using magnification
software.

Step 1. Click the "print preview button" on the Standard toolbar .

Note:Another way to preview is to select;

*. "File menu, left alt + f and arrow down to Print Preview in the menu .

Your document will be previewed on the screen, which looks to the sighted
person like a page containing the lines of text within that page as they
should appear when printed off onto paper.

The preview looks fine, so you can move on to the next step to print your
document.
Follow the next steps to print off the document.

(For Screen Reader And Magnification Users)
Step 1. Click the Print button on the Print Preview toolbar .
(Screen reader users)
Another way to print is to press;
*. Ctrl + P
*. select "File menu, left alt + f" then arrow down to Print in the menu .

The document is sent to the default printer connected to your computer.
(Magnification users)
Step 2. Click the Close button on the Print Preview toolbar .

(Screen reader users)
Go to "file menu, and arrow down to print preview and press the enter key"

You can then return to the document where you can make any changes to the
document.

Now close the word document you have open using keys "control + F4" to close
the document page.
Press keys "alt + F4" to close the word application and you're done.

End of lesson12.
