Hi Susan
It sounds like a windows update as it is happening when you switch on but
perhaps it is an antivirus update. Mine is set up to automatically update when
I switch on but I'm no expert, sorry. I wonder if you switched off and
switched on again if it was a windows or virus update and it has already
updated for today, then it shouldn't do it again. Just a thought really...

sorry folks, but here is another problem, from i turned on my computer this
evening at 7 o clock i keep getting this prompt saying automatic updates then
it starts counting 5% 6% 7% ect.
if this is windows updates my son in law had this automatically dong this, in
other words this has never said this before. maybe it has nothing to do with
window updates. can any one help me please?
