Hi all

I'm experiencing broadband problems AGAIN. Eircom tell me its a 42/1 ratio.
Anyone ever heard of that. They said that the line can only carry 42 people at
a time. Sounds 'mad' to me but maybe here in the country its possible.

Anyway the symptoms of this nuisance problem are that on average 50% of the
time when I open internet explorer or outlook express, I get the following
message "The host 'mail2.eircom.net' could not be found. Please verify that you
have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail1.eircom.net', Server:
'mail2.eircom.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D".

bla bla bla

The cure for the problem is go away for five minutes and come back and try
again. 99% of the time it will work properly second time round.

Anyone out there experience anything similar or ever heard of this problem?

Edel..
