[vip_students] cant install windows service pack 1

hello folks when i do a windows update for windows service pack 1 it wont allow
me. it is telling me.
spinstall.exe - system error the program cant start because sqmapi.dll is
missing from my computer.
can someone please tell me how to fix this problem or should i go to a tech.
