Hi Pauline,

I assume you mean RSS feeds. I recently wrote a little about such things.
Below is a description of what they are and how to use them.

Introduction:

What is RSS?:
What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for sharing and distributing
Web news events, such as news headlines. Using an RSS reader, you can view
data feeds from various news sources, such as CNN.com, including headlines,
summaries, links to full stories and so on.

RSS refers to a family of formats for web feeds that deliver information
straight to your PC over the Internet. Many blogs use RSS feeds, but so do
news sites. In fact, any web site that so desires can easily add an RSS feed
to its offerings.
When you receive an RSS feed, you either get a preview of the content
available on the blog or web site, or receive the full content, depending on
how the site set up its feed. If you get a preview and want to read the full
post or news item, click on the feed and you are sent to the site or blog.
Internet Explorer 7, built into Vista, includes an RSS reader for
subscribing to and

Note: For magnification users, When you're on a page that has an RSS feed,
the RSS icon on the Internet Explorer toolbar turns orange. Click the icon
to read the feed using Internet Explorer's built-in RSS reader. In some
cases, a web site has more than one feed on it. Click the inverted triangle
next to the RSS icon and you'll see a list of all feeds on the site. Click
the one you want to read.
Note: For screen reader users, the screen reader will usually announce to
you the link for the RSS feed. By pressing enter key on this link will begin
your subscription to that link. "this does not mean you have to pay anything
for it" but is just a term used to indicate you want to join this feed for
future information, a little like the VIP students list. Also the feed can
be accessed using the keys:
*. Control key + letter J, to bring up a list of your saved feeds for future
use.

Subscribing to feeds:

Magnification users: To subscribe to a feed, click the + button (the same
button you use to add a favourite) at the top of the toolbar, or click the
Subscribe to this Feed link in the feed itself. When you subscribe to a
feed, it is automatically downloaded to your PC, without your intervention.
To view all the feeds to which you've subscribed, click the Favourites
Centre icon on the Internet Explorer toolbar (it's a star) and click the
Feeds tab, and you'll come to a list of your feeds. Click on one to read it.

Screen reader users:
If you wish to subscribe to a feed do the following.

1. Look for the "RSS icon" on a web page you have visited. For example you
could go to the following sites for a practice run; *. www.sky.com/news *.
www.cnn.com 2. Arrow down the page till you find the RSS icon and press
enter key.

3. Now press enter key on this icon and it will move into a new page. The
following message will appear;

"Subscribe to this feed"

4. Tab to the button that says "subscribe" and press the enter key.

5. The following will occur;

*. First edit box will ask you to type in a "user friendly name" for the
feed you want to subscribe too. It will also have a suggested name.
*. Tab again and you will be asked where you wish to save the feed into, I
normally just leave this alone as it is pointing into a folder called
"Feeds" which is perfect.
*. The next tab will be a button where you can press enter on and type in a
new folder name, I would skip this one.
*. Next tab key will take you to the final "subscribe button" so just press
enter key to complete your action.

6. The following message will appear on the next page you go to;

"You've successfully subscribed to this feed!"

Accessing your feeds:
If you have a lot of feeds gathered up just like you might have in your
favourites, there is a quick way to bring up the list and choose which feed
you would like to visit on the day. Do the following;

1. While in internet explorer, press keys "control + letter J".
