yes i went in to control panel ok. will do a scan and let you know how i get on.

Did you go into control panel to check it?.
Run a full scan with your antivirus and see if it is clean.

Go to control panel, windows sercuity, open it and you can turn on firewall. 
You antivirus might be out of date too, just check.
