Hi Seoirse,

We’re looking into this product at the moment in NCBI, but my initial reaction
after seeing it is that the functionality does not justify the price, which
comes out at just under €1900.

You’d really need to be doing a lot of scanning!

Regards,

Stuart.

Subject: [vip_students] hand held scanners

Hi everyone,

does anyone know if there is such a thing as a hand held mobile scanner
available here in Ireland ? I mean, a hand held mobile gadget that could read
words and letters of food products and DIY items when out and about in shopping
centres etc. i know it's available in the US but not sure if something similar
exists here at present.

Cheers,

Seoirse
