Paul,
I listened to the audio demo from Jonathan and I have to agree with him
there is definitely a problem.
I tried to reply to an unread message and found the keyboard would not work
the first time. I cancelled the edit and then clicked the message again to
start a new reply and it worked the second time.
After sending the message, I found that I could not get the keyboard to type
anything despite many attempts to repeat the bug fix that Jonathan
described.
He suggested typing a word and I found that that does indeed get the
keyboard going again. I had to turn off the bluetooth keyboard in order to
show the onboard screen keyboard. After turning the bluetooth keyboard back
on again, I found that the keyboard was working again.
Next, I tried to open a new edit and, as expected, it did not work. I then
turned off the keyboard without typing anything onscreen and turned the
bluetooth keyboard back on again. This time it worked
People might like to try out these steps and see what works for them but I
shall keep trying to simply turn the bluetooth keyboard off and then back on
to see if that gets around the problem.
