Hi Tony,

On the top right side of the phone there is a button. When finished using
the phone for a period of time, just press this button once and voice over
will tell you that the phone is now locked. When you wish to reactivate the
phone for some business or other, press the home key which is the button on
the bottom "Centre" of the phone. Also after I lock my IPhone I also use a
"Three finger double tap" to shut off the speech as it can become annoying
yakking in your pocket if you hit it from time to time.
To reload voice over, first press the home button and then a "Three finger
double tap" to get speech back again.
Turning off the speech I feel helps prolong battery life in with the
bargain.

Paul.

Subject: [vip_students] iPhone: Lock

Hi,

I have been asked to enquire if there is a gesture/tap for the iPhone to
lock it so as one couldn't inadvertently activate anything a bit like the
lock command on the Nokia idea?

Tony
