Hi PaulFunny you should mention the issues with JAWS 12 as I had that weird problem a few weeks ago with JAWS 12 not reading Internet Explorer. I installed Firefox on my dad's machine and it seems to work with that much better. Funnily enough JAWS still isn't working with Internet Explorer.
I had another quite serious problem with JAWS 12. Part of my job in work involves arranging meetings and I have to go into other people's calendars to put appointments in. For some reason JAWS crashes everything as soon as I start navigating the calendars. I literally have to press the on/off button on the PC to restart it. I simply cannot do anything with the PC as it completely crashes.
Like you I raised this issue with FS and got a vague reply from them telling me that this issue would be addressed in a later update of JAWS and if I had any more problems to contact my distributor. Not very helpful I must say. Since I raised this issue there has been two or three updates to JAWS 12 and the issue still hasn't been addressed.
If I have to go into someone's calendar I now have to quit JAWS and try to use my vision to put in the appointments. This is quite difficult for me as my vision is limited but it is the only way around it at the moment.

Hi Vincent, When you uninstalled jaws previously, did you choose to uninstall jaws and all its settings?. If you didn't do this and further more if you didn't go into the "program files" folder on your C drive and delete any remainingFreedom Scientific folder and also go into the "ProgramData" folder which bydefault is hidden on Windows 7 and again remove the "Freedom Scientific"folder from here you really need to repeat the uninstall and perform thesetasks as well. To locate the "programdata" folder, go into Run on your Windows 7 machine and type in the following; C:\programdata In here look for the Freedomscientific folder and delete. Restart the computer and then if you have jaws 12 latest download which you shouldobtain first from the FS site and place on a USB stick or something, installit and see what happens.There are issues around jaws 12 recently not seeing screens properly. I havehad a discussion with a guy in Freedom Scientific about this as when I opened up Excel for example the screens wouldn't read and likewise had problems in IE9. His solutions were vague to say the least and I ended up having to trouble-shoot the issue myself.
