[vip_students] jaws update and firewalls

hello everybody
while trying to update jaws from the jaws menu I keep getting this message.
JAWS Updates
Unable to retrieve a list of available JAWS updates due to an error contacting
Freedom Scientific. Ensure that your computer is connected to the
Internet, that any firewall software you are using is configured correctly, and
that any proxy settings are correct.
I am connected to the net. so is it the fire wall or what do I do I am not
sure. all help much appreciated. many thanks.
