thanks for that. she is partially sighted and can read the text ok.
what i am specificially wondering is with that model do you know

can one 'import' text books saved on my computer

and can one transfer audio books to it and listen on the kindle?

If she is sighted then I don't expect

hi folks,
my other half got a present of a kindle, model 4.1.1. has anybody on list got experience using this model 
also can one play audio books on it and if so how is that done?

totally in the dark on this, between facebook, i phones, apps etc !!!

any help would be much appreciated.
