hello friends, i am afraid i am an impetuous person, so when i see "free
downloads" i go for it, particularly if it concerns music programmes,
during the past fortnight i downloaded a programme that said it would really
clean up my computer every time i switched the computer on, so joe downloads
it, doesn't he, i started to install it, and just as it was about to install
a message came up saying "just one off payment from your credit card and
this programme will install", no way, i don't like giving my credit card
details over the internet, particularly to a company i know nothing about,
then the trouble started, i couldn't uninstall the stupid thing, it jammed
up my computer it was not a virus, and it caused me all sorts of problems
it took the great patience of paul traynor to sort me out, i've learned my
lesson, and in future if i see anything that i think might assist me on my
computer i will run it past someone who knows a lot more than i do, and who
can advise me, secondly, may be i'm the only one on this list who didn't
know that i had to wait until "outlook express" had finished before getting
out of it, but i have learned now to wait until it is finished, may be i'm
not making myself clear on this, i got my "outlook express" in a terrible
mess, but now thanks to paul it is healthy again, sorry for going on so
long, regard to all, travel safely, joe.
